On March 17, 2004, the heavens opened and bestowed upon us a precious
baby boy. He stole the hearts of all those he encountered with his
quiet charm and impeccable manners.
Erique was wise beyond his years. He naturally took on the role of
'man of the house', helping his mom and guiding his younger siblings.
He excelled academically and athletically, participating in a myriad
of extra curricular activities and sports leagues. His elaborate
stories kept his friends entertained, and his probing curiosity
swooned his school teachers.
Erique lived his life fully; however, the Heavenly need for Erique's
spirit far exceeded our Earthly need of his physical presence. God's
decisions are uncomprehensible, still we must stand firm in our faith,
and walk with our heads high and reassurance in our hearts.
Erique will now be watching over his parents, Erica L. Parker and
Cornelius M. Fields; his brothers Koby Barksdale, Cornelius Fields
Jr.; his sisters Brittney E. Parker, Cornesha, Madison, Alana, and
Katelyn Fields; his grandparents Cheryl & Gregory Parker, and Joyce
Ann Boyd & Terry Fields. Not to mention a host of Aunts, Uncles,
cousins and friends; all of whom will celebrate the life of Erique
Fields.
Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2016, from 5pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Erique's life will be Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Canaan Christian Church (2840 Hikes Lane, Louisville, KY) beginning at 1pm.
