Eric William Herthel

Eric William Herthel, 50, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Eric was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and being with his family and friends.

He was born on June 21, 1971, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Charles and Elizabeth "Sue" (Wolfe) Herthel.

Along with his parents, Eric is survived by his sons, Cameron and Tanner Herthel; brother, Mark Herthel; his significant other, Missy Drury; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane) and will continue on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Eric's wishes.

The family requests that contributions in Eric's memory be made to Hero Reward (873 Walnut Valley Road NW, Corydon, IN 47112).
