Eric Wade Bruce

Eric Wade Bruce, age 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Eric was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend who cherished his family deeply. He found joy in outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, and grilling, but most importantly, he loved spending quality time with his loved ones and adored his grandchildren.

Born on November 15, 1963, in Louisville, Kentucky, to William and Martha (Thomas) Bruce, Eric built a meaningful career as a well-respected mechanic. His passion for his work not only brought him fulfillment but also fostered many lasting friendships and cherished memories throughout his professional life.

Eric was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Scott Bruce; his father, William Stanley Bruce; and his step-father, Joseph Servideo.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 45 years, Jacqueline A. Bruce; his children, Misty (Josh) Humphrey, Heather (Joseph) Bruce, and Dustin (Teressa) Bruce; his grandchildren, Anthony Paddock, Jaydan Paddock, Alayna Humphrey, Myleigh Peyton, Krislynn Peyton, Brentlee Peyton, Waylen Peyton, Meadow Deweese; his great-granddaughter, Aria Paddock, with another great-grandchild on the way; his mother, Martha Jean Servideo; his sisters, Dorlia Bruce and Theresa Bruce; his brother, Victor Bruce; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will hold his memory close to their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. on the same day and location.
