Emmit A. Schmidt, 86 passed away on May 16, 2013 at Veterans Hospital. He was an Army and Airforce Veteran.
Emmit was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Carl and Charles Edward Schmidt.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Joyce B. Schmidt, daughter Rebecca B. Thompson, son Michael A. Kessler, 3 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grand-daughter. A brother Richard Schmidt, 2 sisters Doris and Joyce Schmidt.
Visitation will be Sunday May 19, 2013 from 2-6 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive Louisville,Ky. Service will be Monday May 20, 2013 at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Zachary Taylor Cemetery, 4701 Brownsboro Road at 12:30 pm.
