Emmett J. Whiteside, Jr. 63, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 16, 1953 to the late Emmett J. and Bertha Moore-Whiteside.
Besides his parents he preceded in death by three siblings, Vonnie Whiteside, Mary Brown and Junie Barnes as well as his long time companion, Geraldine Williams.
Emmett is survived by his two daughters, Angel M. Burrell and Tammy Burrell; five sons, Emmett J. Burrell, III, Anthony Williams, Dujuan Burrell, DeAndre Jones and Glenn Williams; 13 grandchildren, Tamycha Burrell, Shawn Smith, Latasha Williams, Brandi Cary, Briana Williams, Emmya Burrell, Monique Burrell, Robyn Burrell, Tyreese Fields, Dujuan Burrell, Jr., Jaquan Porter, Amari Burrell and Kimani Burrell; eight great grandchildren; six siblings, Francis Lesley, Deloris Townsend, John Whiteside, Bertha Louise Whiteside, Darlene Baker and Rosanna Whiteside as well as a host of other family members and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
There will be a Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the First Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, 3601 Virginia Ave., Louisville, Kentucky burial will follow at Green Meadow Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at First Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, 3601 Virginia Ave, Louisville, Kentucky.
