Emma Elizabeth (Foreman) Reas
June 16, 1927 — March 31, 2019
Emma Elizabeth (Foreman) Reas, 91, loving mother and grandmother, of Edwardsville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019. She was an active member of the VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary and also enjoyed playing BUNCO.
She was born on June 16, 1927, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Edward, Sr., and Lillian (Knecht) Foreman. Emma was also preceded in death by her husband, Verne "Wayne" Reas, and nine siblings.
Emma is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Steinmetz (Michael); son, Brian Reas (Charlotte); and grandsons, Korey Steinmetz, Connor Steinmetz, Cameron Steinmetz, Devin Reas (Emily), Skyler Reas (Miranda), and Brandon Reas.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
