Emma Lou Gamble (Graves)

Emma Lou Gamble (Graves), 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Emma was a loving mom, grandmother, GiGi, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She loved spending time with her family and their friends. She loved to laugh, sing, and she was an avid animal lover. She never met a stranger and loved traveling and going new places. She had a heart of gold and was always late to everything. Emma will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor and pleasure of knowing her.

She was born on February 17, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky to Ruby (Shellman) Schmidt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Odis Gamble, mother, Ruby Schmidt, son, Richard E. Graves, sister, Anna Welch, and brother, Robert Schmidt.

Emma is survived by her loving family, children, Dan Graves (Kim Jones), Ruth Brown, Gary S. Graves, and Tony J. Graves; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Hoagland; niece, Jamie L. (Julie) Hoagland. As well as a host of family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with cremation to follow.

The family requests that contributions in Emma's memory be made to St. Jude.
