Emily Brooke MacDonald, age 36 passed away peacefully on Saturday October 17, 2020 at Norton's Brownsboro Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky. She was born August 12, 1984 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Jim and Caryn MacDonald.
Due to complications at birth Emily was born with cerebral palsy and although Emily couldn't walk or speak she had the ability to draw people in with her beautiful smile.
Emily attended Churchill Park School in Louisville and later attended the Mattingly Center until at age 31 she was hospitalized with a severe lung virus and later cared for at home during the final five years of her life with the help of Angels disguised as nurses.
Survivors include her parents Jim and Caryn and her younger sister Cassie Lee Everett (Taylor), her niece Lexi of Louisville. Additional survivors include maternal grandmother Delma Hargis, paternal grandmother Ruth MacDonald and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday October 24, 2020 at Northeast Christian Church 9900 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40241 A Celebration of life service will follow at 1:00 pm. Social Distancing and the use of a face mask are required in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "Love the Ville" a community outreach program sponsored by Northeast Christian Church.
