Emery John Stanchin, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. He was born on January 4, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Emery and Katherine Stanchin. He was very proud to be the owner of Protection Instrument Alarm Company which he operated for over 40 years before his retirement. Emery was an Army Veteran and was very involved in VFW and AmVets. He was a Captain for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Reserve Unit.
Left to cherish his memory, are his beloved wife of 57 years, Belvie "Sue" Stanchin; his children, Kimberly (Russell) Prunty, Emery (Dana) Stanchin, II; grandchildren, Leigh, Olivia, Tyler, and Christopher; 4 great grandchildren; and his twin brother, John Emery Stanchin.
A service to celebrate Emery's life will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 10, 2020, at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will accept guests for visitation at the funeral home from 3:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2020 and from 11:00am-1:00pm on Monday before the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Emery's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
