Else Martha Bane, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018.
She was born on June 26, 1943 in Karlshrue, Germany to the late Peter and Bertha Wittenburg. She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Bertha Wittenburg; son, Robert Bane; granddaughter, Charlotte Clark; sister, Erica Cooper.
Else is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Roy A. Bane; daughter, Claudia Lamphear (Jeff); sons, James Bane (Lila) and Willie Bane (Lori); grandchildren, Stephanie Bane, Nicole Ballard (David), Crystal Schulten (Nick), Jeffrey Lamphear, Jr., Cara Lamphear, Eric Niebruegge (Kristina) and Ryan Niebruegge (Haley); 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Peter Wittenburg (Gertrude) and sister, Karin Wastak (Bobby).
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243), A service to honor the life of Else, will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Else's memory be made to The Family of Else, C/O Roy A. Bane.
