Elnora Gay Stocksdale, 81, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017. She was born on May 2, 1936, to the late Alliene Hockersmith.
In addition to her mother, Elnora was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Stocksdale; and sisters, June Dooley and Jackie Nance. Elnora is survived by her beloved children, Rob (Terry) Stocksdale, Scott (Christie) Stocksdale, and Billie Ballard; sisters, Angie Chowning, Ina Reynolds, Alliene Lofton, and Verla McMorran; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends to mourn her passing.
In loving memory of Elnora, contributions may be made to Cherry Street Church of Christ.
A celebration of Elnora's life will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions - Southern Indiana Chapel, with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
