Elmer Diersing, Jr., 87, of Louisville, passed away on August 19, 2015. Elmer was born in Louisville on March 11, 1928 to the late Elmer and Margaret Diersing. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Diersing.

Survivors include three step-children, Karen Halterman (Joe), Jeff Eisner (Ann), and Paula Heuglin (Bob); two step-grandchildren, Kelly Burns and Kari Hammel; and one step-great-granddaughter, Adalynn Burns.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral Ceremony will be held Monday at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial following in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.
