Elma Lois Patterson

Elma Lois Clark was born to Cleland & Ethel (Vanzant) Clark in Cadiz, Kentucky. She raised seven children and one granddaughter in Jeffersontown, Kentucky. Her charm, sweet smile and quick wit was loved by everyone who knew her. She worked at Taylor Drug/Rite Aid in Hikes Point until she was 84 years old. She was a member of South Watterson Trail Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death along with her parents, her husband, James Terry Patterson, Sr., her loving sons, Daniel Ray Patterson, Adrian Keith Patterson & James Terry Patterson, Jr., her sisters, Oleta Cunningham and Dean Gray, and twin great-great grandchildren, Webb & Elaine Ray Jones.

Lois is survived by her daughters Bonnie Frances Patterson Myers (Harold) of Crestwood, Sharon Elaine Patterson Foree (Ron) of Smithfield, Brenda Lois Patterson McClary of Crestwood, Teresa Gail Patterson of Jeffersontown and granddaughter, Julie Rae Patterson of LaGrange.

Surviving grandchildren are Wade Myers, Angela Foree Roberts, Krista McClary Janes, Matt Patterson, Carly Patterson Barmore, Casey Foree, Jessica Logsdon Barnswell and Megan Foree Gifford. She also had eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and nephew, Dillmon Ray Cunningham.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, November 18th at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive) with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
