Ellona Puckett

Ellona Puckett, age 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Born on July 9, 1946, in Indiana, Ellona was a woman who cherished life’s simple joys. She found great happiness in crocheting, planting flowers, playing corn hole and the piano, fishing, and spending time with her beloved family—especially her grandchildren. Her vibrant spirit and warmth touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Ellona was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Owen Puckett, Sr., and her great-granddaughter, Lillian Skye Stuart. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Denver (Julie) Puckett, Terry Collins, Steven Collins, Timmy Collins, Anita Collins, Jerry Collins, Kenneth Collins, Julie Collins, Earnest Puckett, Donald Puckett, Jr., Conya Puckett, Vera Puckett, and Rodger Collins. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren, including Joseph Stuart, Ellona Bolus, Shane Puckett, Julia Puckett, Lonnie Puckett, Donald Puckett, III, Savannah Puckett, Robby Wheeler, as well as numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Emma Willow, Sophia Puckett, Edward Bolus, Kenzie Puckett, Scarlett Puckett, Emersyn Stuart, Ryder Stuart, and Rhylee Stuart.

Family, friends, and all who knew Ellona are invited to a visitation on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. Her funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. the same day at the chapel, with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
