Ellen (Kidwell) Young

Ellen( Kidwell)Young, 75, of New Albany, Indiana was called home on Sunday, May 10, 2015. She was born on May 20, 1939 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky to Leonard Harlis and Leavy Belle Kidwell. Ellen worked as a supply manager for Floyd Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed board games, cooking, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Along with her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her siblings, Marie Elkins, Cecil Ralph Kidwell, and Mattie Lee "Pee Wee" Fischer. She is survived by her children , Vicky M. Thomas, and Rose E. Condra(Mark); brother, Denny Harlis Kidwell(Janie),sister, Phylis Diane Atwood; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and her companion, David Wagoner.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11 AM at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
