Ella Kay (Mays) Watson, 65, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020. Ella enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and antique malls. Throughout her life she stayed devoted to her work and, most of all, her family.

She was born on June 19, 1955, in Pineville, Kentucky, to the late Jesse and Vina (Harmon) Mays. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny Michael Mays and Jesse Mays.

Ella is survived by her husband, Paul Watson; daughters, Vina Leona (Christopher) Sacheck, Paula (Bruce) Harmon, Miranda (James Ferguson) Watson, and Marlena (Michael) Parrott; brothers, Leon (Anne) Mays, Glennis (Joanie) Mays, James (Jennifer) Mays, and Leslie Mays; sister-in-law, Sue Stroud; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
