Elizabeth L. (Mcguire) Voignier

Elizabeth Louise "Betty" (McGuire) Voignier, 86, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany. Betty was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and loved crocheting, knitting, reading, and bingo. Out of all her pastimes, her favorite was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Betty was born December 16, 1931, in New Albany to the late Jesse and Louise (Salesman) McGuire. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard "Dick" Voignier; and 6 of her siblings.

Betty is survived by her seven children, Betsy Young, Laura Sauer (Joe), Terry Barnes, Todd Voignier (Robin), Margie Voignier, Donna Smith, and Rose Lehman (Jeff); fifteen grandchildren, Tabitha, Tony, Beth, Jill, Jenna, Hollie, Eric, Derek, Sarah, Sean, Katie, Jason, Toshina, Natisha, and Erin; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren on the way; and sister, Rebecca Jo Grant.

Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with cremation to follow. Entombment will follow at a later date at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
