Elizabeth Joan (Didat) "Betty Jo" Tucker, 71, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Sarasota, Florida.

Betty Jo was born on March 13, 1943 to the late Joseph and Catherine (Schindler) Didat. She loved her community and served it well through many committees like Habitat for Humanity & Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Betty Jo found success in real estate which she sold locally for 40 years. She enjoyed playing bunco and was a lifetime member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joey Tucker; sons, Greg Tucker (Lori) and Eric Tucker (Beth); brother, John Didat (Sharon); grandchildren, Katy, Haley, Sam, Ben, and Max; and sister-in-law, Suzanne Blunk.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Monday, March 31, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Her Funeral Mass will take place at 10 AM on Tuesday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN) with burial to follow at the church cemetery at a later date.

Contributions in Betty Jo's name may be made to Hosparus - the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
