Elizabeth (Thwaite) Duckworth, 77, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016. She was a member of the Borden Library Knitting Group and the Silvertoners. Elizabeth also enjoyed doing volunteer work as much as possible.
She was born on May 2, 1939 in Huddersfield, England to the late Joel & Kathleen (Gee) Thwaite. Along with her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her sisters, Sylvia Thwaite, Muriel Cox; brother, Frank Thwaite; and brother in law, David Bennett.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 56 years, Neil Duckworth; sons, Paul Duckworth (Sue) & Ian "Jack" Duckworth (Sarah); brother, John Thwaite (Maggie); sister, Christine Bennett; grandchildren, Hannah, Matthew, Ashley & Alex Duckworth.
Cremation was chosen following Elizabeth's wishes. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a Memorial Service taking place at 11 AM.
Contributions in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the St. Joseph's Indian School (1301 N. Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325).
