Elizabeth "Betsy" Shuffitt, 55, passed away on August 1, 2016. She adored her granddaughters and their dance and tea parties. Betsy cherished her memories of her husband, Wayne and her baby boy, Jamie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Shuffitt; son, Jamie Shuffitt; parents, Jim and Mary Dodson and sister, Kim Dodson.

Betsy is survived by her daughter, Lindsey (Tommy) Duncan; granddaughters, Olivia and McKenna Duncan; sisters, Cathy Louks, LuAnna Martin and Stacy Clark; nieces, nephews and friends that are as close as family.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 11am-8pm and Friday, August 5, 2016, from 8am-1pm with a celebration of Betsy's life beginning at 1pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.
