Elizabeth Poindexter, 84, of Louisville, passed away on September 22, 2015.
Elizabeth was born in Columbia, KY on February 7, 1931, to the late Robert and Clara (Moore) Grider. She married Robert E. Poindexter on August 9, 1964 in West Lafayette, IN. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Grider. She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Nora Kaufman (Kenny), Robert Wooten (Denise), and Cody Wooten (Wendy); brother, Wilbur Grider (Linda); step-son, Kevin Poindexter; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her funeral ceremony will be held Monday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow in Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
