Elizabeth Keller

Elizabeth (Betty) Keller, 90 of Louisville, KY died April 15th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Louisville, KY. She was born Elizabeth Clare Berger on June 16th, 1925 in Jasper, IN to the late Sylvester & Minnie Berger.
She was a graduate of Jasper High School and served as Deputy Clerk of Dubois County, IN upon graduation. Elizabeth married Dennis Keller on February 12th, 1947 and they had seven children and were married for 68 years. When the Keller's moved to Owensboro, KY, she went to work for the City of Owensboro in their payroll tax department. She retired in 1990 after 21 years of service. In retirement, she enjoyed reading, gardening and quilting. She quilted over 60 quilts and donated them to her former parish, Blessed Mother Catholic Church in Owensboro, KY, where she also volunteered as an office assistant. She moved with her husband Dennis to Louisville in 2005 to be closer to their children and was a dedicated member of the Church of the Epiphany.
She is survived by her seven children: Beverly Thurmond (Ron), Margaret Bowen (Rich), Ann Bailey (Todd), Charlotte Kieffner (Ron), Kathleen Sauer (Bruce), Denise Ritter, Tony Keller (Julie), plus 12 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 6 great grand-children and 9 step great grandchildren. Survivors also include brother Billie Berger, Muncie, IN and sister Margaret Holler of Terre Haute, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Keller, her brothers, Odilo Berger, Tony Berger, James Berger and sisters Helen Bath, Anna Marie Otto and Mary Catherine Gilliam.
Visitation will be Monday, April 18th, 2016 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY. A rosary service will be held at the funeral home at 4:00pm on Monday.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 19th, 2016 at Church of the Epiphany Catholic Church, 914 Old Harrods Creek Rd, Louisville, KY with private burial to follow.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the building fund of the Church of Epiphany in Louisville, KY.
