Elizabeth Karen Dickson Hedgepeth

Elizabeth Karen Dickson Hedgepeth died on June 29, 2026 from complications of pancreatic cancer. Betty was born in 1931 to Emily Dean and Francis Dugan Dickson and lived her whole life in Louisville. She attended Louisville Girls' High School. After graduation she met a young Army veteran, James "Ralph" Hedgepeth. They were married for 69 years at the time of Ralph's death in 2020. Betty worked as a secretary at Creasy Company and Parks & Weisburg Realtors. They were members of Christ Church United Methodist. She was particularly fond of cats and dogs and bouffant hairdos.

Her ashes will be placed with Ralph's at the National Cemetery in New Albany. No service is planned. Much gratitude and appreciation go to the staff at the Eastern Star Home for their compassionate care and patience. Also, many thanks to Hosparus Health of Louisville for making her last days as pleasant as possible.
