Elizabeth J. Cooper

January 15, 1953 — February 8, 2022

Elizabeth "Libby" J. Cooper, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

Libby was all about helping people, and worked for many years at Meadowview Nursing Home and Friendship Manor Nursing Home, as well as the State Department of Juvenile Justice in the Dietary. She made sure everyone ate well! Libby had a great love for horses, and she had several over the years. Her favorite was named Spinner, which she raised and trained from a foal. Libby loved her kids and grandkids, and was always trying to keep up with the "Techie" side of things like Tik-Tok and Facebook. She also enjoyed going on vacations to the beach. Libby always had a smile on her face, she would feel a room with laughter and was a joy to be around. Her family will always remember her for throwing up the "Happy Finger".

She was born on January 15, 1953 in Lyndon, Kentucky to the late Frank and Kathryn (Mathis) Hibbard. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Joseph Hibbard.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Joey Cooper (Shellie) & Keith Cooper (Tracey); daughter, Kathryn Cooper-Pruitt (Galen); grandchildren, Caleb Cooper, Baylie Cooper, Jessica Gaddie-Cooper, and Gavin Pruitt; brothers, Frank Wesley, Henry Earl, William Harold and Larry Wayne Hibbard; sister, Virginia Douglas; numerous extended family and friends; and her dogs, Daisy and Gypsy.
