Elizabeth Clark "Corky" "Betty" Burns, 77, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

She was born on January 31, 1941, in Louisville, KY, to the late Joseph and Loretta Hayden. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, John "Phil" P. Burns, Sr.; granddaughter, Emily Vadnais; two sisters, Mary Pat Hayden and Ann Bucher; and brother, Joe Hayden.

Betty is survived by her children, Beth Stilger (Al), John P. "Jack" Burns, Jr. (Lea Ann), Mary Vadnais (Bill) and Mike Burns (Brenda); grandchildren, Kristen Skeeters (Jake), Elizabeth Lockard (Kevin), Timothy Hollins (Ashley), Daniel Hollins (Tonya), Elysse Vadnais (Jacob) and Breann Burns; 14 loving great-grandchildren; life-long friends, Barbara & Bill Schoen; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY, 40272). A funeral service to honor the life of Betty will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family requests that contributions in Betty's memory be made to donor's favorite charity.
