Elizabeth A. (Milton) Boone, born on June 10, 1942, in the vibrant city of Louisville, Kentucky, gracefully departed this world on February 23, 2026. A graduate of Butler High School in 1961, Elizabeth ventured through life with a fierce independence and a tenacity that defined her spirit. Together with her late husband, Maurice Boone, she co-founded Boone Electric, a testament to their shared vision and unwavering commitment to quality and service.
An ardent lover of nature, Elizabeth found her joys under the open skies, where her heart resonated with the rhythms of the outdoors. Her passion extended to animals, as she became a devoted advocate for Alley Cats Advocates, diligently working to stabilize and reduce the stray cat population. With a nurturing heart, she often referred her beloved animals as her children, demonstrating her deep appreciation for both her family and furry companions alike.
Elizabeth was not merely an admirer of the natural world; she was a keeper of her family's history, possessing an impressive wealth of knowledge that she willingly shared. Her strong-willed nature ensured she managed her affairs with grace and determination, embodying the essence of independence that she cherished so deeply.
In the twilight of her life, the legacy of Elizabeth Ann Boone remains vivid through the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. Her memory will be honored at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, on March 4, 2026, where a viewing will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are encouraged to join in celebration of her life, with a graveside service to follow at Calvary Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Boone an her parents, Irvine and Pauline Milton.
