Elizabeth "Betty" Buchheit, 89, of Valley Station , Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020.

Betty was a parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Church and retired from Old Fitzgerald Distillery in 1996. She was also the founding member of the Camp Honeybelle Pinochle Club. Betty was a fun loving woman who took care of her family; she held such a strong relationship with all of them. She will be forever remembered as the heart beat of our family.

She was born on July 13, 1930 in Louisville , Kentucky to John and Katherine (McAuliffe) Hess. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilbert Buchheit, her son, Michael John Buchheit, and sisters, Judy Davison and Mary Garcia.

Here to carry on her beautiful legacy are her children, Robert William (Bette) Buchheit, Mary Ann (William ) Kessel, Thomas Allen (Patty) Buchheit, Janis Lee (Kirk) Carter, grandchildren, Pam (Rick) Foushee, Jenny McCarty, Billy (Amy ) Kessel, David Kessel, Marianne Buchheit, Carrie (Shawn) Shepherd, Christy (Charlie) Hoffman, Kim (Joe) Roberts, Kraig (Tara) Carter, great grandchildren, Jarrod Foushee, Kevin Foushee, Jacob Foushee, Daniel Foushee, Will McCarty, Makayla Kessel, Kenzie Kessel, Gabe Kessel, Seth Estes, Jake Estes, Shayla Shepherd, Lil Shawn Shepherd, Cheyenne Shepherd, Hailey Roberts, Abbey Roberts, Ameila Carter, Kellen Carter, great great grandchild, Izzy J Shepherd and siblings, Kay (Marty) Quire and Jay Hess.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
