Elizabeth Fitz Randolph Bedell

Elizabeth Fitz Randolph Bedell, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024. 

She was born on July 30, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Leroy and Clara Hyder. Elizabeth was a nurse and homemaker. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed spending time with her husband and family. Her favorite pastime was enjoying her pets, she loved her dogs but adored her cats. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bedell, Jr.; her parents; sister, Margaret A. Willmoth (Jack); and brother, Jack Hyder (Virginia). 

Elizabeth is survived by daughter, Stephanie Anne Gaynor (Gary Smith); daughter, Laura Sanders (Greg); son, Edward Bedell, III "Fred"; son, John David Bedell; grandchildren, Alexandra, Phillip, Paul, Samantha, Edward, IV, David, and Meagan; and great-grandchildren, Devin, Dawson, Dakota, Ryder, Reid, Remington, Ty, Isla, Jackson, Charlie, and Edward, V.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, July 5th, 2024 at Newcomer, Northern Kentucky Chapel (4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018). A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky (25 Alexandria Pike, Southgate, Kentucky, 41071).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth’s memory be made to The Kentucky Humane Society (www.kyhumane.org) or Alley Cat Advocates at (alleycatadvocates.org).
