Elizabeth Ann(Wiseman) Engle

Elizabeth Ann (Wiseman) Engle, 84, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife and mother of six. Elizabeth was a homemaker and actively involved in the office operations of Wm. B. Engle, Inc. She was passionate about gardening and had a love for flowers and animals. Elizabeth was a long-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.

She was born on December 16, 1931 in Pekin, Indiana to the late Charles and Christine (McMillen) Wiseman. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her husband of more than 58 years, William B. Engle; step-mother, Mary Ehringer Wiseman; siblings, Joseph Wiseman, James Wiseman, Margaret Wilson; step-sister, Carolyn Ehringer; and son-in-law, Christopher Wade.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Donald Engle (Laura), Douglas Engle (Karen), Jeffrey Engle (Mary), Timothy Engle (Kelly), Karen Bleemel (David), Annette Koch (Steve); sisters, Sr. Theresa Louise Wiseman, Sr. Bernadine Wiseman, Doris Wiseman; step-siblings, Mary Lou Bauman (Anthony), Paul Ehringer; sister-in-law, Maurice Engle; brother-in-law, Merrel Bierman; 25 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 PM to 6 PM Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 8:30 AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, June 20, 2016 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
