Eliza Jane Roland

Eliza Jane Roland, 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Ponca City, OK passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. Eliza was a member of Conner Chapel A.M.E. Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, Church Clerk, Missionary Secretary, and Stewardess Secretary. With her husband she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Eliza enjoyed her garden and cooking for friends and family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on April 9, 1930 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Sanko and Mary (Marshall) Thomas. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Soloman Roland, Son, Alvester Roland, Brother, Sam Thomas, Sisters, Robertha Reed, Cozella Jackson, Bertha Ceasar, Zeffie Shelby, and Lourwreather Thomas.

Eliza is survived by her Son, Lonnie Roland, Daughter, Rubye Woods, and Sister, Myrtle King. Eliza also leaves behind to cherish her memory 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Funeral Services will be held in Ponca City, Oklahoma, with burial to follow in Resthaven-Sunset Memorial Park in Ponca City, OK.
