Metts, Eleanor A., 96, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on May 19, 2016. She was formerly a member of St. Denis Catholic Church.
She was born on March 21, 1920, in Saulk Rapids, Minnesota to the late Charles and Catherine Bellmont. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Metts, Sr.; her daughter, Judi Kasperski and her grandson, Craig Kasperski.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Paul Metts Jr. (Carol), Denny Metts (Susan), Barbara Spaulding (Adrain), John Metts (Cathy); son-in-law, Jerry Kasperski; grandchildren, Damon (Judy), Richard (Sherry), Susan, Stacey (Willie), Shannon (Rick), Jena (Ben), John Anthony, Kimberly (Carl), Lisa, Sara and Beth; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and many distant relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Hwy, Lou, KY). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church (6901 Dixie Hwy, Lou, KY), with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
In loving memory of Eleanor, memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
