Eleanor E. (Barna) Hilles

Eleanor Ethel (Barna) Hilles, 85, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020. She retired from Dillard's Department Store in Clarksville. Ellie was an avid fan of all sports, especially football and baseball. She also enjoyed participating in bowling leagues.

She was born on December 10, 1934, in Windber, Pennsylvania, to the late Steve and Julia Barna. Ellie is survived by her children, Jeff Hilles (Stephanie), Jody Hoke (Jon), and Jim Hilles; grandchildren, Erin Hilles (Bo), Allison Woosley (Ryan), Mallory Laumann (Mark), Kyle Hoke (Madison), Carly Hoke, and Kendall Hoke; and great-grandchildren, Willow, Bode, Elliott, Logan, and Luke.

Cremation was chosen following Ellie's wishes, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205).
