Elbert Eugene Goff, Sr.

May 30, 1932 — November 22, 2017

Elbert Eugene Goff, Sr., age 85, of Louisville, passed quietly at home surrounded by family & friends on the evening of Wed, Nov 22,2017. Mr. Goff was a Korean War veteran. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad (formerly K & I Railroad) after 38 years of service. He enjoyed time with family & friends at his Rough River lake house and tinkering & repairing cars for family & friends.He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 yrs, Eleanor L Goff; his only son, Elbert E. Goff, Jr., 2 grandsons, 6 sisters & 7 brothers.

Mr. Goff is survived by his daughters Debra Goff-Grider; Brenda Goff Daugherty (Barry) Tina Goff Thompson (Chris), Annette Goff Thompson (Larry), & Jennifer Goff Armstrong (Bobby Langley); 19 grandchildren & their spouses, 38 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be 4-8pm Monday, November 27, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Mr. Goff's life will be 2pm Tuesday, November 28th, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy should be made to the American Cancer Society & the SIDS Organization.
