Elaine Rucker Mccorkle

June 21, 1922 — October 18, 2017

Elaine Rucker McCorkle, 95 of Brandenburg, Kentucky went home on October 18, 2017 at her daughters residence. She was born on June 21, 1922 in Bonnieville, Kentucky to the late George Willis and Lela Smith Rucker. Elaine was a member of Rock Haven Baptist Church and was retired from Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert McCorkle; a sister, Lois Glass and a brother, Russell Rucker.

She is survived by her children, Delores Gibson, H. Randall (Joan) McCorkle and Sandra (Boyd) Moss; grandchildren, Tamela (Victor Slinker) Farley, Paula Gibson, I. Troy (Dana) Gibson, Joseph Gibson, Beverly (Jim) Moore, Randall (Laureen) McCorkle, Kelly (Jeremy) Spencer, Kim (Lance) Idleman, Elaine (Steve Bigham) Moss, David (Shannon) Moss; 25 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Hawkins; a brother Charles Rucker, Countless nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
