Effie Mae (Friedly) Faith

Effie Mae (Friedly) Faith, 91, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on January 28, 2017. She was born in New Amsterdam, Indiana, on September 4, 1925, to Harve and Florence (Moyer) Friedly. Effie worked for Charlestown Powder Plant in her earlier years and was a long time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in New Albany, Indiana. Effie enjoyed playing bingo, Hershey bars, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Effie was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Eugene Faith; sisters, Inis Tankisley and Bernice Wiseman; her brother, Paul Friedly; and a granddaughter, Lindsay Panter. She is survived by her loving children, Janice Dierking (Arthur), Dallas Faith (Aletha), Lewis Faith, and Richard Faith (Michele); along with 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Service will be on Friday, February 3, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation before from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
