Edward Will, CSM (USA), Ret., 78, passed away on Saturday, November 14th, 2015, at Essex Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Germany and emigrated to Michigan. He was a Vietnam War veteran and served in the US Army for 21 years. After he retired, he worked many more years as a civil servant for the Army.
Edward is survived by his wife Ehrentrud; daughters, Elke (Jim), Jane (Jeff), Caren (Jim); son Ralph; grandchildren, Ben (Amber), Jon (Lauren), Kati; great-grandchildren, Austin and Cooper; and sister, Erika.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Essex and Hosparus for their excellent care and compassion shown during Edward's brief stay.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40272). A funeral service to honor the life of Edward will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
