Edward August Wiedemer

Edward August Wiedemer, age 92 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was born in Sharon, Wisconsin on March 8, 1933 to the late Ethel and August Wiedemer. He was an Army Veteran. During his work life he achieved many things, mostly with Walser Companies in the construction field. His pastimes were refinishing furniture, birdwatching and gardening and was an avid bookreader. Ed was a Nascar fan.

Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna; sisters, Betty Pruett and Imah Strange.

Ed is survived by his sons, Grant Wiedemer and Bruce Wiedemer; daughter, Carolyn Wiedemer; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Lanham (Conrad) and Vanessa Bottoms (Jeremy); 4 great-grandchildren, Lilly, Mason, Henry and Harrison; brother, William Wiedemer; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Ed's life will be 1:30pm on Thursday, November 13th at the funeral home, followed by entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park.
