Edward "Eddie" Missi, 76, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017. He was a Lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus #1221 and will always be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, camping, playing cards, and making people laugh.
Eddie was born on May 19, 1941, in Starlight, Indiana, to the late Edward Sr. and Ethel (Whitson) Missi. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Wilfred and Roy Missi; sisters, Edith Grantz, Ruth Missi, Evelyn Hodges, and Charlotte Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Wade) Missi; children, Julie Popp (Mark) and Anthony Missi (Pamela); grandchildren, Ashley Andres (Travis), Jenna Grantz (Andrew), Adam Popp, and Shane Missi (Whitney Batliner); great-grandchildren, Corbin, Rhett, and Tate Andres; and sister, Viola Eckert.
Memorial Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Newcomer-Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at a later date at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eddie's name can be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150).
