Edward Charles Lilly

Edward Charles Lilly, 88, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on May 10, 1928, in New Albany, Indiana, to Charles and Ethel (Geis) Lilly. Edward was a member St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and was co-owner of Lilly & Alstott Roofing for many years. He had a strong work ethic and enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Staser) Lilly. Edward is survived by his loving children, Craig Lilly (Diane), Paul Lilly (Brenda), Elaine Bailey (Joe), Charles Lilly (Marty), and Virginia Stiles (Gary); siblings, Ralph Lilly (Juanita), Evelyn Bostock, and Viola Montague; along with 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

His Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119). Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery.
