Eddie was born in Louisville on August 23, 1951 and attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School from where he graduated in 1970. He joined the US Army February 16, 1971 and proudly served his country through 1977. He developed many skills and became of jack-of-all trades in the construction industry. There was nothing he could not fix or do. Outside of his career in construction, he spent many years involved with late model car racing at Louisville Motor Speedway, which were some of his most treasured memories.
In the 1980's, Eddie forged a new path and began an exciting life of entrepreneurship & ownership of many popular establishments in the south-end of Louisville including Shake'es, Quiver's, and EEzy's. Eddie truly enjoyed hosting local bands and getting to know all of his patrons, many of whom became close friends.
Eddie never met a stranger and was constantly making people laugh with his quick wit. His soft blue eyes, simple smile, infectious laugh, and laid back personality drew people to him, but it was his tender heart that most will never forget. He spent Sundays watching NASCAR races and seldom missed a Kentucky game on TV. He enjoyed the simplicity of a sunny day on the golf course and appreciated a good day of fishing. But above all, he was a family man first and will be sorely missed by those he left behind.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the Newcomer Funeral Home- Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY).
