Edward Hilbert Jr.

Edward Joseph Hilbert, Jr., age 84, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. He was an Air Force Veteran. He was retired from International Harvester after 33 years of service and a member of Pipefitters Local 502. Ed was a 29 year member of Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church. He loved golf, playing cards (especially Penny Poker) and dartball with the Harvey Browne Team. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. Hilbert, Sr. and Aline Miller Hilbert; and his daughter, Cindy Britt.

Mr. Hilbert is survived by his loving wife of almost 30 years, Nancy; children, Debbie Van Meter and Steve Hilbert (Nina); grandchildren, Kelly Vaughn (Bryan), Chris Van Meter (Whitney), Philip Britt (Megan), Lauren Britt and Jackie Hilbert; five great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild yet to come; siblings, Shirley Diersing and Helen Hilbert (Johnette); three nieces, sister's-in-law, Retta Adams (Dave) and Evelyn Shephard, and a host of family and friends.

A memorial celebration of Mr. Hilbert's life will be held 11am Friday, April 24, 2015 at Harvey Browne Memorial Presbyterian Church 311 Browns Ln, St Matthews, KY 40207.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church or Hosparus.
