Edward Hardesty, 78, of Louisville, passed away on January 10, 2015. Ed retired from the Jefferson County Public Schools. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. His hobbies included building trike motorcycles and woodworking.
Ed was born on November 10, 1936, in Meade County, KY to the late Roy and Lucille (Turner) Hardesty. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Hardesty; daughter, Kathy Epley; and brother, Bill Hardesty.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Eula Hardesty; children, Debbie Madden (Larry), Michael Hardesty (Betty Jean), Kenny Hardesty (Teresa), Patricia Cissell, and Chris Hardesty (Amy); step-daughter, Sheila Perry; step-son, Dwayne Wilson; sister, Juanita Lanham; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation from 2:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Ed's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church (6901 Dixie Highway) with burial to follow in St. Theresa Church Cemetery (9245 Rhodelia Road, Payneville, KY 40157).
