Edward Larue Gusler

October 23, 1963 — July 5, 2018

Edward Larue "Ed" Gusler, Jr., 54, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, was an avid reader of science fiction novels, and was known as a free spirit who loved to travel in Central and South America.

He was born on October 23, 1963, in Corydon, Indiana, to Judith L. "Judy" (Engleman) Mason (Harold) and the late Edward L. Gusler, Sr.

Along with his mother and stepfather, Ed is survived by his sisters, Angela Rothbauer (Todd), Trisha Gusler, Tonya Gusler, and Melissa Gusler-Black; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday, August 4, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of the funeral home. Cremation was chosen according to the family's wishes.
