Edna Mae Nix

Edna Mae Nix, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on March 23, 2016. She enjoyed working in her Seek and Find books and embroidering. Edna loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edna was born on August 19, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Wilson and Aileen Fields. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Hershel Nix; son, Danny Nix; and her brother, George Fields.

Edna is survived by her son, Gary (Karen) Nix; grandchildren, Joshua (Candace) Nix and Sarah Nix; great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Jayden Nix; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and from the time the service ends to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Friday, March 25, 2016 at 6:00 pm. Burial will be on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10:00 am at Bethany Memorial Cemetery (10915 Dixie Hwy, Louisville).
