Edith Bolton

Edith Mae Snyder-Bolton, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 10, 1934, in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, Edith later moved to Louisville, Kentucky with her beloved husband, Ben Bolton, where they built a beautiful life and family together. Ben preceded her in death.

Edith was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a faithful member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by her five children, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply touched by her love, warmth, and steady presence.

A gifted cook and storyteller, Edith created a home filled with comfort and tradition. Many cherished memories were made gathering in her kitchen, making homemade ice cream, collecting her treasured recipes, and listening to the stories she shared so lovingly.

Edith’s kindness, strength, and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will host a memorial service at her church, Sojourn Carlise, located at 3548 Taylor Blvd. he service will be Friday, December 5 from 5pm-630pm.
