Edgar Thomas Winburn

Edgar Thomas Winburn, 75, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015. He loved both watching and participating in car racing. Tom also enjoyed gardening as well as working out in his yard.

He was born on January 14, 1940 in Winchester, Kentucky to the late Ernest and Bertha (Williams) Winburn. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Susan Winburn.

Tom is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty (Leake) Winburn; children, Vicki Ledford (Steve), Lisa Cravens ("H"), Stuart Winburn (Karen), Pat Durbin (Jeanie), June Jones (Greg), Tommy Winburn; sisters, Katie Bills, Shirley Johnson (Arthur); 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.

Contributions in Tom's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (701 W. Muhammad Ali Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40203) or St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities (601 E. Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
