Edgar Eugene Hardesty, Jr.

Edgar Eugene Hardesty, Jr. age 77 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019. Edgar was a graduate of Trinity High School and was a graduate of University of Louisville, where he pursued his love of Archeology. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran and retired from the Ford Motor Company. He loved and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar E. and Mary Taylor Hardesty; and his brother, David Hardesty.

Edgar is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Helga; sisters, Louise Gibson (Jack), Victoria Black (Larry) and Mary Ann Lewis (Steve); 5 nieces and 2 nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Edgar's life will be 11 am Friday, February 1st at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Floydsburg Cemetery.
