Edgar Lee Hale, Jr.

December 26, 1956 — November 3, 2016

Edgar "Ed" Lee Hale, Jr. 59, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on November 3, 2016. He was an Army veteran, Kentucky Colonel, a member of the American Legion and a retiree of Hazelwood Center. Ed was a devoted husband and father who was very family oriented with high family values, who cared deeply for his family.

Ed is survived by his wife, Julia "Judy" Hale; children, Jeremy (Danielle) Hale, Melanie Hale, Joshua "Josh" Hale, Christal Herrington, April (Jason) Bowman and Glenn Hall, Jr.; grandchildren, Destiny, Caitlyn, Sydra, Joseph, Alexandra, Byron and Brigid; parents, Edgar Lee and Regina Hale; siblings, Debra Hale, Rebecca "Becky" Hale and Ron Hale; niece, Jennifer Hale and several great-nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, November 7, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 12pm-8pm. A celebration of Ed's life will be Tuesday, November 8, 2016, beginning at 12pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Ln, Mt Washington, KY 40047.
