Eddie Wayne Birch, Sr.

Eddie Wayne Birch, Sr., 68, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020. He was born on October 5, 1952, in Manchester, Kentucky, to Walter and Annie (Love) Birch. He attended Manchester High School. He confessed his life to Jesus Christ in 1978 at Anderson Temple Church of Christ C.O.G.I.C. where he was filled with the Holy Ghost. Eddie enjoyed working with his church family as a faithful usher and also dedicated his time in the kitchen. He never met a stranger, was always kind, and loved being around people. Eddie was a former employee of Jeff Boat as a welder and the United States Census Bureau where he worked in janitorial services.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Walter Birch, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years and caregiver, Sylvia Birch; daughter, Sarah Birch (David) Kane; son, Eddie Birch, Jr.; sister, Henrietta Sizemore of Manchester, Kentucky; brother, Jimmy "Jimbo" Birch of Manchester, Kentucky; grandson, Landon Birch; granddaughter, Annee Kane; his special mother, Carolyn Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Brighter Day Anderson Temple C.O.G.I.C. (1755 E. 8th Street, Jeffersonville, IN). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with burial to follow at Eastern Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
