Ed Barnes, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on November 26, 2017.

He was born on May 1, 1940 in Hodgenville, Kentucky to the late Stanley and Betty (Ratcliff) Barnes. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Gilbert and Benny Barnes.

Ed is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna (Herrell) Barnes; daughters, Shelly (Stephen) Crawford, Lisa (Parkey) Thompson, Mia Wilson and son Craig Barnes. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Kayla (Micah) Fauscett, Jordan Cooley, Morgan (Ryan) Berry, Logan Cooley, Micah Thompson, Colten Barnes, Caleb Barnes, one great-granddaughter Chandler Rae Berry, brothers Lewis (Beverly) and Jimmy (Rayetta) Barnes and special family members Rhelda (Leo) Yount.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Middletown, Kentucky.

His funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Pleasureville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Land Bible Baptist Church (9007 Prospect Street Louisville, KY 40242).
